Showing and glowing at SpringFest
CARS classic and new will shine at SpringFest, as the Peter Stevens Motorworld Show-n-Glow sparkles in Lake Wendouree’s gardens precinct.
The showcase is open to all makes and models, with about 80 Ballarat Road Rodders members bringing out vehicles, alongside new models from Peter Stevens.
The dealership’s director Matthew Newey said supporting the community is key to their business.
“SpringFest is the pinnacle of community events, so we’re always proud to be sponsoring it, and making a donation,” he said.
“We’ll have some new Nissan vehicles down there, a selection of Ram Trucks, and a full selection of MGs.”
Ballarat Road Rodders president Bayden Roberts said he’s “loving the idea” of bringing the Show-n-Glow back after three years.
“It’s awesome to be asked to come on board and help, and we’re very proud to be part of it,” he said.
“It coincides with our Rod Run. People can expect to see everything from Chevs to Fords, Chryslers to Dodges, Morris Minors to Vauxhalls, right through to late-model stuff.”
Choice awards will be given by the director, SpringFest ambassadors, Rotary Club of Ballarat, and Ballarat Road Rodders, while Rockin’ music from MissBehavin’ will have dancers up and shakin’.
Cars and spectators can enter for a gold coin donation. Vehicle entry is at Carlton Street between 8am and 9.30am.
Rotary Club of Ballarat’s SpringFest is on Sunday, 27 November, 10am to 4pm, presented by Optus. All funds raised go back to the community.
More than 500 market stalls will be based in the gardens precinct, alongside events and activities.
Parking will be available at Victoria Park, with a free shuttle bus. Wendouree Parade, between St Aidans Drive and Carlton Street, will be closed to traffic. Visit ballaratspringfest.com.au.
