Students get taste of army life

MORE than 1300 young people from across the state, including Ballarat, headed to the Puckapunyal Military Area for a Defence Work Experience Program open day in early September. The event seeks to give prospective recruits a taste of work and life in the Australian Defence Force and participants got up close with military tech and machines.
