Take photos amongst nature
LOCAL organisation Click Collective is hosting a nature photography meet in Lal Lal in early October.
The afternoon will be an opportunity to take photos of nature and learn new photography techniques from experts.
Photography locations will include waterfalls, bush, grasslands, and wildlife, with the session suitable for beginner and intermediate photographers.
“We run a number of workshops around Ballarat with beginner workshops through to processing workshops and this meet is kind of an extension of that,” said Andy Smith, co-director of Click Collective.
“This is sort of a special event we organise, and future ones will be at different venues.
“The location means it’s a bit more hands on and participants can get stuck into photography.”
The session is open for people who may know nothing about photography or those who have some experience.
“A lot of our clients are more towards that beginner range, so we’ll teach anyone from picking up the cameral for the first time to more advanced shooting techniques,” said Mr Smith.
“If you’ve got a camera, bring that along bit if you’re learning the ropes and only have an iPhone, we can still teach on that.”
As well as learning new skills, the workshop is also an opportunity to get amongst nature.
“This workshop is more about spending the afternoon out in nature and out at Lal Lal there’s of course the waterfalls,” said Mr Smith.
“There’s also wildlife, the reservoir, the birdlife so it’s just a pretty awesome place to spend an afternoon really.”
The workshop will be held on Sunday 8 October from 1pm. Tickets cost $65 and can be purchased at clickco.au.
