Take to the stage at the show
THOUGH it’s traditionally an agriculture and animal event, the Ballarat Times News Group 2022 Ballarat Show will also offer a space for live entertainment.
Performers and musicians are set to perform on the Regent Cinemas Family Stage from Friday, 11 November to Sunday, 13 November.
Children’s entertainer Bethany Fisher will take to the Regent Stage on the Saturday and Sunday, and said she’s excited to perform.
“The show will feature lots of family favourite songs and some awesome dance numbers where we will teach everyone the dance moves to join in,” she said.
“There’ll be loads of singing and dancing for the whole family and I’ll be joined by my amazing dancers, Sarah and Claire.
“There will be opportunities to win prizes and even for some lucky audience members to join us on stage throughout the show.
“The Ballarat Show will be the biggest agricultural show I’ve ever performed at, and I love the community feel and variety of activities and entertainment available to enjoy.”
Students from Dancemakers in Magpie, as well as the Ballarat Grammar pipe band will perform on the Friday, followed by one of Ballarat Grammar’s choirs on Saturday.
The Ballarat Memorial Concert Band, a regular fixture of the Ballarat Show, will return on the Sunday from 9am to 11am.
The stage will also host the mullet and pie-eating competitions on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Event organiser Jackie Kalogerakis said the stage provides an additional level of participation from attendees.
“It allows the communities to get involved. It gives the opportunity for young performers to get up there on stage for the first time,” she said.
“It also gives young children the opportunity to show off what they love to do. Every year we welcome all sorts of performer from magicians to comedians to choirs to bands.
“In years to come, hopefully it will be even bigger. There’s no show without performers.”
Time slots on the Regent Stage are still available, which can be applied for by contacting Ms Kalogerakis at [email protected].
