Two councillors elected as Ballarat count continues

TWO councillors have so far been elected to the City of Ballarat council for the next four years as the Victorian Electoral Commission vote count continues.

In Sebastopol Ward, immediate past mayor Des Hudson has been re-elected, and Ben Taylor will return to the chamber representing the Buninyong Ward.

In the Alfredton, Brown Hill, Central, Delacombe, North, Golden Point and Wendouree wards, no candidate as of 5.15pm on Friday 8 November has received more than 50 per cent of first preference votes.

Preference distribution results will be published by the VEC here as soon as they are available.
