FEDERATION University has received the top Victorian ranking in the newly-released Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) Student Experience and Graduate Outcomes survey results.

Vice-chancellor and president, Professor Duncan Bentley, was delighted with the survey results.
“Number one in teaching quality and student support could not be possible without the work and care of our academics, staff and entire university community – and we couldn’t be more delighted,” he said.
“This result reflects Federation’s singular focus on student experience.
“We pride ourselves on great teaching and a personalised approach to support – and today’s ranking reflects that.
“This is further encouragement as we continue striving towards a new, innovative approach to learning – including embedding the co-op education model across our courses from 2026.”
Federation University master of social work graduate Nick Zohan said he felt supported throughout his time at Federation University.
“Studying at Federation has been an incredibly rewarding experience, where I had the opportunity to learn from passionate teachers who offered both theoretical knowledge and practical insights,” he said.
“I felt supported throughout my journey, with plenty of hands-on placement opportunities that allowed me to build real-world skills and forge valuable industry connections.
“Thanks to the uni’s strong focus on student experiences and employability, I was able to seamlessly transition into my career right after study, which has been a huge source of encouragement for me.”
