WORKS are underway to update Woady Yaloak Primary’s four campuses and member for Ripon, Martha Haylett, was in Smythesdale last week to mark the occasion.

The Smythesdale and Ross Creek campuses will be the first locations to receive updates following $11.1 million worth of State Government funding.

Smythesdale will see updates to its administration buildings and improvements to its outdoor play space while Ross Creek will have upgrades to general learning areas, staff rooms, and play spaces.

General learning and outdoor areas will be refurbished at Snake Valley, and in Scarsdale art, general learning and outdoor spaces will be upgraded.

“This massive investment will give students in Smythesdale, Scarsdale, Snake Valley and Ross Creek the very best learning spaces to help them thrive,” said Ms Haylett.

“These school upgrades will ensure the learning environment matches the excellent education Woady Yaloak teachers provide at all four campuses.”

The works aim to ensure students have modern learning spaces and is part of $14.9 billion the State Government has spent into schools over the last nine years.

The works are set to be completed my mid-2024 and are being undertaken by Geelong based Rendine Constructions.
