Water poster comp winners announced
THE winners of Central Highland Water’s National Water Week poster competition have been announced.
Entries were received from local early learning, kindergarten and primary school students.
The winner of the early learning/ kindergarten category was Goodstart Early Learning Mount Helen while Hollie from Napoleons Primary School was the prep winner.
Priodorshini Das from Sebastopol Primary School won the year one to two category and Wendouree Primary School’s Laikyn won the year three to four category.
The winner of the year five to six category was Ella from Siena Catholic Primary School.
“The very popular National Water Week poster competition provides an opportunity to engage our younger generation around the importance of water and build awareness of its value in the community,” said Central Highlands Water Managing Director Jeff Haydon
“Central Highlands Water were incredibly impressed with the colourful and imaginative posters from over 21 schools entered across our region.
“We would like to thank all the participants for entering and congratulate the winners of this year’s competition.”
Posters were centred around this year’s theme ‘water for all, inspiring action,’ touching on topics such as water saving ideas, watering the garden, recreational water use and water in the environment.
