ROUND two of Central Highlands Water’s community support program is now open for applications.

The initiative aims to support local community groups, sporting clubs, events and not-for-profit organisations.

Groups who are planning an event or program which emphasises water, water conservation, sustainability, or benefits the wider community are encouraged to apply.

“The Central Highlands Water community support program is designed to support the communities across our region with both in-kind and financial support,” said a Central Highlands Water spokesperson.

“As a valued partner in advancing our region, we support our community to thrive through our partnerships and groups.

“In all projects and partnerships, we aim to embed broader community benefits in everything we do.”

Some of the recipient from round one of this year’s program were Fifteen Trees, Ballarat Swim Club, Daylesford Words in Winter writer’s festival and Clunes and district agricultural society.

Applications are open until Thursday 31 October and will be assessed during November before applicants are notified of their result in December.

More information can be found on the Central Highlands Water website.
