Wellbeing centre to host holiday event
IN the leadup to Christmas, a Clunes-based holistic health and wellbeing centre will be the location for a different kind of solstice celebration.
Staff at Soul Barn are set to host their night market and solstice party on Wednesday, 21 December where founder Michelle Mullins will showcase what the space has to offer.
“We’ll have our workshop space open and it’ll be kind of a thank you to our teachers, therapists and healers and clients while welcoming new people,” she said.
“We’ll have these mini sessions too. We have a slow-movement beautician doing skin care and another woman doing a body balance.
“It’s about showcasing ourselves and we’ll have our store open so people can get any last-minute shopping done.”
Alongside complimentary cocktails and live music, 15-minute mini therapy sessions will be available free from the centre’s three providers.
Free oracle readings will also be available, while raffle prizes will be given out throughout the evening.
Ms Mullins said the event is a great opportunity to promote wellness in the region.
“It’s bringing the community together because we’re a bit alternative for Clunes but also very grounded,” she said.
“We want people to feel comfortable about coming in here and letting them know that this is here in their area, so they can meet the team and get a feel for us.
“We did this last year and it was awesome. People spoke of it as a fun connection so we want to offer a lot more this time around.”
RSVPing, Ms Mullins said, is preferred and can be done by contacting her via the Soul Barn Facebook page.
