BARRY Plant’s annual wellness raffle is back for another year and seeking to raise money for the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre, or BRICC, Wellness Centre.

Tickets are $10 each with first prize a trip to the French countryside valued at more than $9000.

There are also an IT package, a gardening package, and a split system air-conditioner up for grabs.

This is the second year Barry Plant has collaborated with the BRICC Wellness Centre on the effort with the 2022 raffle raising more than $14,000.

The proceeds from the raffle will go to BRICC, which is 100 per cent community funded and provides free support and treatment to cancer patients.

“The Wellness Centre is a place of rest, away from the clinical areas of the hospital, where patients can access our services, speak to our wonderful support staff and meet other patients who are going through treatment,” said BRICC Wellness Centre manager Simone Noelker.

“Our centre is free of charge for all cancer patients and has become an important part of our patients’ treatment.”

This year, Barry Plant staff are hoping to raise more than last year’s total.

“The first prize this year has created a lot of hype, so we are definitely hoping to eclipse last year’s fundraising total, which was a great effort on its own,” said Shane Finch, CEO of Barry Plant Ballarat.

“We really love being part of this amazing fundraising opportunity and are just thrilled that we are able to help such a worthwhile centre that does so many good things for so many good people at a time they really need it.”

The raffle will be drawn on Monday 11 December at 10am and to buy a ticket visit 2023-cancer-wellness-raffle.raisely.com.
