REIV market snapshot

A clearance rate of 52 per cent was recorded over the weekend compared to 63 per cent last week and 73 per cent this same week last year.

There were 236 auctions reported to the REIV, with 123 selling and 113 being passed in, 54 of those on a vendor bid.

St Kilda East was Metropolitan Melbourne’s top clearance rate suburb in 2018 with 76.4 per cent, far exceeding the state-wide average of 60.5 per cent.
