With a background in marketing, Harcourts Ballarat’s Daniel Bozoski uses his unique skillset to get the most for clients, and that’s seen him pick up a nationwide award.

Real estate agent Daniel Bozoski from Harcourts Ballarat has been named the Harcourts Australia Number 1 Rising Star of 2019.

He received the nod at a gala event at the Palladium at Crown Casino recently, and the nationwide top award follows Mr Bozoski taking home the state title earlier in the year.

“It feels like I’ve achieved something I didn’t think was possible considering I’m from Ballarat,” he said. “Our area median price for homes is $350,000 and I was up against agents from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, places where the median prices are a lot higher.

“I didn’t think it was possible, but it was a goal I was striving for.”

Mr Bozoski has been a real estate agent for almost two years, and with Harcourt’s Ballarat for most of that time.
Haling from Sebastopol, before he became an estate agent he worked as a concreter and then completed a degree in marketing at Federation University.

It was while working in marketing that he discovered his passion for things that drew him into the real estate industry.

“I came from a marketing background,” he said. “I enjoyed the graphic design and websites, stuff like that, but I realised I loved about the job was closing deals. So selling products and services to companies. When I closed a deal that was the most rewarding part.”

That general marketing experience has also transferred to real estate sales and property presentation.

It’s a skillset that Director at Harcourts Ballarat, Tim Menz said is a point of difference.

“He’s really good with general marketing and social media marking,” he said. “Those two things have allowed him to advertise and promote peoples’ properties in different ways that are new to Ballarat. He gains a lot of traction and ensures that he gets the best results for clients.”

Mr Menz also said that while Mr Bozoski’s award was primarily about acknowledging his strong effort and work ethic, it partly comes as a result of Harcourts Ballarat’s approach to its team members.

“I think it’s just fantastic recognition for Daniel and his hard work,” Mr Menz said. “He’s often here until 8pm every night, last to leave the office, and it just shows that that hard work is paying dividends.

“I think it also shows we’re creating a culture that people can thrive in.”
