BALLAN Jockey Club members are seeking a new community partner to be supported by Ballan Cup Day in 2024.

Club president Billy Smith said they are on the lookout for a local organisation to sign on as partner for the Stakes Day event which is booked in for Saturday 9 November at Geelong Racecourse.

Mr Smith said the club is not just about horse racing, they are about bringing the community together for grassroots benefit.

Ballan Cup Day is a country racing meet aimed at families.

“Becoming our community partner means your organisation can fundraise during our event,” he said.

“Whatever your best fundraising ideas are, we’re here to support you.

Fashions on the Field is a popular part of the program.

“Ballan Cup Day is more than just horse races, it’s a community celebration that brings everyone together.”

In recent years, the Ballan Pony Club and the Ballan Recreational Reserve have been partners and beneficiaries, raising close to $10,000 with the support of Ballan Jockey Club.

“It makes Ballan Cup Day a very worthwhile event to be part of,” Mr Smith said.

“We want you to bring your network along to enjoy the races and make the day even more special.

“It’s all about working together to create a positive impact in our community.”
