City to host premier rodeo event
THE adrenaline and excitement of the Australian outback will be coming to Ballarat this Saturday at the National Rodeo Championships.
Held at Morshead Park, the event will feature Australia’s top cowboys, bull riders and equestrian talent competing in bull riding, saddle bronc and barrel racing.
Cush Ryder will also be on site playing live music and creating a country festival atmosphere.
“Australia’s rodeo scene is rich in history and tradition, and we’re excited to bring this premier event back to Ballarat,” event director Bart Hamilton said.
“This year’s event will feature some of the best riders and horses from across the country, providing fans with a front-row seat to the wild, heart-pounding action that makes rodeo so special.”
Starting at 3pm, there will food trucks, market stalls featuring local crafts and western gear, as well as a kids’ corner with face painting, music and line dancing.
“We’re incredibly excited to offer this action-packed event to Ballarat this December,” Mr Hamilton said.
“It’s an opportunity to experience the excitement, culture and heart of Australian rodeo, right here in a great city.”
Tickets start at $29 and can be purchased on the National Rodeo Championships website.
