Fresh green for bowls club

MIDLANDS Bowls Club is looking smart, with a bowling green update complete. The project to replace the green’s lining was funded by a $7500 Federal Stronger Communities Grant and Member for Ballarat Catherine King dropped in last week to take a look, meeting president Barry Wilson. “The previous lining material on the bowling green was installed over 30 years ago. This upgrade is a long-term investment, that will make the green safer for bowlers,” Ms King said. A new defibrillator, close to the green, was also covered within the funding. Photo: SUPPLIED
