Greatest show on two wheels to roar into Ballarat
The action sports theatrical spectacular will hit Mars Stadium on February 15, in what promoters are describing as an unforgettable night.
Freestyle Kings Live features the best riders on the planet across freestyle motocross and BMX.
The all-ages, family-friendly show is headlined by the first family of action sports, Robbie Maddison and his sons, 14-year-old Kruz and 11-year-old Jagger.
While Maddison is the face of the Freestyle Kings brand, his two sons are undoubtedly its future.
“At 43 years old, it is no secret that I am closer to the end of my freestyle motocross career then I am to the start,” Maddison said.
“My accomplishments on a dirt bike have been beyond my wildest dreams, but by far my greatest achievement is watching my three boys share the same passion I have for this sport, and to see them push through the nerves and perform in sell-out shows across the globe.
“They are little showmen at heart, and whilst I might be a bit biased, I think it’s the favourite part of the show for the crowd.”
An all-star international freestyle motocross (FMX) and BMX crew is led by 20-times X-Games gold medallist Rob Adelberg.
The reigning back-to-back (FMX) champion, who hails from Benalla in north-east Victoria, is looking forward to being back on country Victorian soil.
“I’m from regional Victoria and my dirt bike has taken me all over the world for the last 20 years, and I can tell you, there is no better crowd to ride in front of than in places like Ballarat,” he said.
“Make no mistake, this is the best riders on the planet, who will be throwing down tricks that need to be seen to be believed.”
The Ballarat stop is one of 50 across six nations as part of Freestyle Kings Live’s world tour.
Promoter Josh Hannah said while at first glance, it would seem an odd decision to include Ballarat on the Freestyle Kings World Tour, regional Australia is at the very forefront of its thinking when it comes to live events.
“Regional Australia has a deep affinity and love for all things dirt bike and BMX, so it just made sense for us to take this tour to areas that wouldn’t traditionally get this type of world class entertainment,” he said.
“Whilst we have our rider line up come in from across Australia and the USA, we source everything else locally in Ballarat, from food and beverage, to ushers, security, machinery and everything else needed to pull off a show like this.
“We obviously get a lot out of these shows, but we like to think we give a lot back to a regional centre like Ballarat.”
Tickets to Freestyle Kings Live in Ballarat will go on sale on August 28 via Ticketek.
