Three GWV Rebels have been invited to the AFLW Draft Combine invites and State Combines, set to be held in Melbourne in October.

Maggie Johnstone (South Warrnambool) and Jovie Skewes‑Clinton (Ballarat) will attend the Draft Combine from October 1st to 3rd.

Meanwhile, Elsie Conroy (Ballarat) will attend the State Combine on October 3rd.

Skewes‑Clinton is a 176 cm utility who also donned the Big V. She is currently averaging 18.2 disposals, 4.6 tackles and 1.9 goals from her 10 Rebels games.

Conroy was also a part of the Victoria Country squad, and is a 172 cm key defender. In her eight Rebel matches, she has averaged 15 disposals and 2.9 marks.

The three‑day Draft Combine, which Johnstone and Skewes‑Clinton will attend, includes 46 invitees set to undertake physical testing and club interviews at the MCG.

There will be three State Draft Combines, held in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth for an additional 45 draft hopefuls. The Melbourne event, where Conroy will attend, features players from ACT, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria.

Testing for both Combines will include vertical jumps, a 20‑metre sprint and the agility test, which is set to be held at the State Hockey & Netball Centre. A 2 km time trial will also take place at Collingwood’s AIA Centre.
