Hendry victorious in Vic Park crits

Division 4 including Robert Young, Roger McMillan, Jakkii Dawson and Darryl Brown.

TWENTY-three riders contested the Oscar’s Hotel and Cafe criterium races in Victoria Park on Sunday.

Division 2 stayed together throughout the entire race. The track experience of Alan Cureton and Jeremy Humber proving the difference in the field sprint.

Division 1 was keenly contested with Shane Clarke attacking frequently. Dayne Pearce and Stu Brien both tried long range efforts, however a sprint finish was inevitable with Jason Hendry claiming the victory by a half wheel.

Division 2 – 1st – Alan Cureton, 2nd – Jeremy Humber, 3rd – Darryn Reed

Division 3 – 1st – Shaun Martin, 2nd – Geoff Martin, 3rd – Matt Ayres

Division 4 – 1st – Roger McMillan, 2nd – Phil McLennan, 3rd – Darryl Brown
