Junior runner set for championship
TWELVE-year-old cross-country runner Alicia Buckland will compete at the School Sports Australia National Championships.
The Grade 6 student from Ballarat and Clarendon College, will be part of the Victoria Cross Country Team.
Alicia will compete against runners from other public and private schools across Australia later this month at the Championship held at Kembla Grange, NSW, from August 23-26.
Many past School Sport Victoria team members have gone onto compete at national and international competitions such as Olympic Games, World Championships, and Commonwealth Games.
