New partnership kicking goals
FEDERATION University Australia is teaming up with Melbourne City Football Club to launch a new Diploma of Business and Sports Management.
The twelve-month course combines theory and hands-on learning at the club’s training facility in Casey Fields.
Students will be surrounded by industry experts from Melbourne City FC and the City Football Group to help them gain knowledge to manage people, build networks and lead teams.
“This exciting collaboration allows students to tap into a wide range of industry experience from not only an A-League team, but the rich global knowledge of the broader City Football Group,” said Federation University vice-chancellor and president, Professor Duncan Bentley
“We are delighted to launch this course in collaboration with Melbourne City FC as it will provide students that have a passion for sport the opportunity to pathway into a bachelor’s degree and further develop their business acumen.”
The course will focus on international sports management, digital marketing and human resources with 100 hours of work placement.
Students who complete the course can transition into the second year of a Bachelor of Business degree.
