Out of towners the ones to ‘Beet
OVER thirty riders experienced sunny and windy conditions at Eureka Cycling Club’s kermesse circuit at Burrumbeet on Sunday, 6 February.
Riders travelled from afar to flex their muscles and enjoy some good ol’ Eureka hospitality.
Division 1 saw visitors Martin Lonie and Jesse Cropley pack too many guns in the final sprint to the line.
Stu Brien launched a surprise attack in the Division 2 points race and stayed away to collect the major markers for the last few laps. Dean Wells collected points in each sprint, however Brien’s audacity was worthy of a sash.
Craig Jenkins was fantastic in winning the Division 3 race, after causing the race winning split a few laps earlier with Mark Hogan and Peter Lamb.
Amy Benham, Jennifer Collier and Geoff Edwards united in a race winning move, with Benham too powerful in the uphill sprint.
