Sprintcars back on Saturday

COMPETITION returns to Redline Raceway for the first time in the new year with sprintcars and standard saloons set to star on the oval.

Sprintcar action will include Victorian Champion Mark Noonan and last event winner at Redline Shane Steenholdt. Recent winner at Bairnsdale, Adam Greenwood, will look to go streaking with his teammate Alistair Bastian.

In the Chivers Memorial standard saloon feature event Scott Whittle from Geelong is the one to watch. Keeping the pressure on him will be Matthew Domburg, Nick Chrystie, Gordon Russell, Jacob Vuillermin, Scott Roberts, Craig Templeton, Hayden Clifford and Leigh Gooding. With Vuiillermin coming off a third-place last weekend in Swan Hill.

Also on the card are street stocks, unlimited sedans and sports sedans, with last season club champ, Daniel Carter, beginning the defence of his crown against a strong line up.

Redline Raceway is at 569 Yankee Flat Rd, Buninyong. Gates open at 2pm, aiming for a 4.30pm race meeting start. Entry $25 for audlts, $20 pensioners, kids six to 16 $5 and $60 for two 2 adults and 4 kids.
