Two re-signings for the Miners
CENTRE Makuei Puondak and local talent Zac Dunmore have re-signed with the Ballarat Miners for this year’s NBL1 South season.
Dunmore began his basketball journey with the Ararat Redbacks before he relocated to Ballarat and was part of the inaugural NBL1 roster for the Ballarat Miners in 2019.
Last season, he averaged 10.57 points, 3.35 rebounds and 1.09 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 45.88.

“I’m super keen to be back this year with the Miners,” Dunsmore said.
“We had a lot of success last year, but with a similar group of guys and coaches, along with some elite new recruits, we are eager to get back to playing finals and going one further this season.”
Puondak showed versatility on the court during the 2024 season, and he said he is looking forward to returning to the Miners.
“Returning to Ballarat was a no-brainer – I love the community, my teammates and the coaching staff,” he said.
“We were so close to our goal last year, now it’s about taking that next step to improving even more.
“I’m eager to get back on the court and compete with this group.”
The season begins on Saturday 29 March.
