MRS Bakers Still House is offering visitors a relaxed afternoon of gin and watercolour painting.<\/p>\n
Participants will be guided through how to paint with watercolour, with no previous experience required.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople sit out in the gin garden, surrounded by the gin botanicals, and we give them a choice of a whole lot of gin botanical prints that my daughter Georgette has made and a palette of watercolour paints,\u201d said co-owner Jane Baker.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very easy and you don\u2019t have to be an artist, but it is so relaxing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Attendees will also have the opportunity to sample the still houses gins and choose one to have in a gin and tonic.<\/p>\n
Ms Baker was inspired to begin the classes by her own love of watercolour painting.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always done watercolour painting, it\u2019s sort of my thing when I go on holiday, I try to do a painting of where we are each day,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s sort of my version of a holiday photo.\u201d<\/p>\n
It is hoped the session will allow attendees to stop and be present.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope people come away with a great sense of relaxation and that they\u2019ve just stopped and been quiet for a moment,\u201d said Ms Baker.<\/p>\n
