3 – Noah Anderson (Gold Coast)<\/p>\n
\u201cThey won nine games last year and in those nine games he got the three (votes) in six of them, and two (votes) in one other.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo seven of the nine wins he stacked the votes. I think he\u2019s a phenomenon this guy.<\/p>\n
\u201cA new coach, greater expectations as he\u2019ll challenge him more. Damien Hardwick will challenge this guy more than any other on that list to do more offensively for this team.<\/p>\n
\u201cCentre-forward I think you\u2019ll see more of Noah Anderson and I think he\u2019ll be in the top half dozen of the Brownlow.\u201d<\/p>\n
4 – Lachie Neale (Brisbane)<\/p>\n
\u201cThe last five years he\u2019s gone 26, 31, 8, 28 and 31 in Brownlow voting.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s the only guy that gets votes up there.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust pencil this guy in. There were a couple of games last year when we were wondering how he actually got the three (votes), but he did.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s got seven lots of three (votes) the last two years. They\u2019re big numbers.<\/p>\n

Cornes\u2019 picks<\/strong><\/p>\n1 – Errol Gulden (Sydney)<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you take Daicos, I\u2019ll take Gulden at 2.<\/p>\n
\u201cFinished fourth last year with 27 votes, 21 years of age.<\/p>\n
\u201cSydney are going to win a stack of games, no one tags anymore so he\u2019s going to rack them up.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe kicked 22 goals and he\u2019s got the drive to improve, so I think he\u2019s going to be in the mix.\u201d<\/p>\n
2 – Luke Davies-Uniacke (North Melbourne)<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a risk because he needs to play 20-plus games and that hasn\u2019t been easy for him to do.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf North can win eight to nine games, and no one is taking votes off him yet. He explodes, he stands out and some of the football that he played last year\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cI think he\u2019s going to be a vote magnet this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cSomething a little bit different, and it\u2019s a bit risky with his body and perhaps them not winning enough games, but I\u2019ve got LDU.\u201d<\/p>\n
3 – Tom Green (GWS)<\/p>\n
\u201cTom Green to finish in the Top 10 of the Brownlow Medal.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe polled 16 votes last year and that was just the first year where people started talking about you.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe umpires need two to three seasons of the hype train before they start voting with where the votes should go. Now that the umpires are aware of who Tom Green is, he\u2019s going to get 35 touches every week and the fact the Giants will win a lot of games\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cThat equals votes.\u201d<\/p>\n
4 – Jai Newcombe (Hawthorn)<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m going to go the new generation.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe polled 18 votes last year and they won seven games.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a weapon. His 25 touches are as good as most people\u2019s 40. He\u2019s penetrating, I think he\u2019s going to kick more goals. He\u2019s gone eight then 12 (goals), and that probably needs to get to 18-20 this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the Hawks can win enough games, he\u2019s going to be at the forefront of it\u2026 he\u2019s a bit like Davies-Uniacke.<\/p>\n
