THE community is being asked to provide feedback on the City of Ballarat’s draft Industrial Land Strategy.<\/p>\n
The strategy aims to help the region use emerging business interests to grow the local economy and employment opportunities.<\/p>\n
Planning for additional industrial and commercial areas will ensure there is suitable land, away from residential areas, for future opportunities.<\/p>\n
Mayor Cr Des Hudson said the strategy will prepare Ballarat for the future.<\/p>\n
“It is important to plan for all types of land use, including future industrial land supply, to ensure that Ballarat is prepared for the projected population growth over the coming years,” he said.<\/p>\n
“Our strategic planning team have been busy developing important documents to assist Ballarat’s growth, such as the housing strategy, growth areas framework, and now the industrial land strategy.<\/p>\n
“Together, this strategic work will inform and guide future planning and investment decisions in our city.”<\/p>\n
The strategy is open for feedback until Friday 14 June on the MySay website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
