THIS financial year the City of Ballarat will allocate more than seven hundred thousand dollars in partnership funding.<\/p>\n
Recipient groups of the City Partnerships Program have been confirmed and 15 organisations will be given funding totalling $2 million over the next three financial years.<\/p>\n
The program is designed to fund organisations to complete well-planned projects which will benefit the community.<\/p>\n
Some of this year’s recipients include Ballarat Renewable Energy and Zero Emissions or BREAZE, the Ballarat Permaculture Guild and the Hidden Orchard, and the Ballarat International Foto Biennale.<\/p>\n
Mayor Cr Des Hudson said the program is a great way to support local initiatives and work towards the goals of the Council Plan 2021-2025.<\/p>\n
“There were some fantastic applications in our second year of the City Partnerships program and we thank everybody for taking the time to make submissions,” he said.<\/p>\n
“This year our successful applicants cover a wide range of interest areas including sports, the arts, environment, local business, and community development organisations.<\/p>\n
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with these organisations to help them achieve our combined goals and make Ballarat a better place.”<\/p>\n
