APPLICATIONS for Youthrive Victoria’s next round of scholarships are now open to anyone in year twelve who is planning undertake further study next year.<\/p>\n
Funding from Community Bank Creswick and District will support one university scholarship and two rural changes scholarships for vocational training.<\/p>\n
Eleven Youthrive Victoria Rural University scholarships were awarded in the last round, including Molly Davies who is now studying occupational therapy.<\/p>\n
“The scholarship has empowered me to not only focus on my studies but also actively engage in initiatives aimed at improving rural areas,” she said.<\/p>\n
“It relieved the financial stress of the many expenses associated with university, and the money has allowed me to focus on my studies and engage in community service activities, such as taking over the social media and coaching at the Newlyn FNC to enhance my own local community.”<\/p>\n
Youthrive Victoria CEO Andrew McGuckian said it is great to work with Community Bank Creswick and District to support local students.<\/p>\n
“We are thrilled to partner with Community Bank Creswick and District for a second year, in providing scholarships for local students wishing to attend university or TAFE in 2025,” he said.<\/p>\n
“We believe that our scholarships and programs are helping to create positive outcomes for students from rural and regional Victoria and hope to see a large number of applications for both our university and TAFE scholarships this year.”<\/p>\n
University scholarship applications close Sunday 25 August and rural chances scholarship applications close Thursday 14 November.<\/p>\n
