CRITICALLY-acclaimed cabaret performer Amy Bodossian is coming to Ballarat Trades Hall for one night only this Ballarat Winter Festival.<\/p>\n

The Melbourne-based artist is bringing her solo show\u00a0Love, Amy\u00a0<\/i>to town this Friday 19 July.<\/p>\n

Bodossian has been performing cabaret for more-than 15 years and said to attend one of her shows is to step into a world of hilarity, heartwarming whimsy, wit, wackiness, irreverence and sensitivity.<\/p>\n

Themes covered throughout\u00a0Love, Amy<\/i>\u00a0– and explored through spoken word and song – include love and loss, living with obsessive compulsive disorder, growing older, the human spirit, and more.<\/p>\n

Bodossian is known in the arts industry as an OCD ambassador and champion of art as a wellbeing practice.<\/p>\n

She is the author of\u00a0Wide Open<\/i>, a book of original poetry and illustrations, has appeared in festivals across the country, and on television in ABC\u2019s\u00a0Spicks and Specks\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Please Like Me.<\/i><\/p>\n

As the 2017 Melbourne Spoken Word Convenor\u2019s Choice Awardee, Bodossian is also a Green Room Award nominee. A former CNS Shakespeare company performer, Bodossian played the iconic roles of Helena, Ophelia, and the Nurse.<\/p>\n

Bodossian has received rave reviews across the world, being described as “pure genius” in\u00a0The Scotsman<\/i>, “empowering” in\u00a0Glam Adelaide,\u00a0<\/i>“authentic” in\u00a0The Plus Ones,\u00a0<\/i>and “illuminating” in\u00a0The Sunday Mail<\/i>.
