I have previously served as a councillor and Mayor of Ballarat and have also represented Western Victoria in the Upper House of Victoria\u2019s State Parliament.<\/p>\n

I am a member of the Liberal Party.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t had any conversations with any other candidates in the Wendouree Ward about preferences.<\/p>\n

I am self-funding my campaign with the assistance of family and friends.<\/p>\n

Three most important issues in your ward?:<\/strong><\/p>\n

My main priorities focus on council’s three fundamental responsibilities: the 3 Rs\u2014Roads, Rates, and Rubbish.<\/p>\n

Firstly, Roads: Our roads are riddled with potholes and need urgent repair. I will fight for more funding to fix the potholes and maintain safe, high-quality roads.<\/p>\n

Secondly, Rates: Everyone is feeling the impact of cost-of-living pressures. I will fight to prevent any rate increases, ensuring fair and affordable rates.<\/p>\n

Thirdly, Rubbish: Council\u2019s plan to reduce rubbish collections from weekly to fortnightly must be stopped. I will fight to keep weekly rubbish collections and ensure this vital community service is not decreased to fortnightly collections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
