THE connection of communities and the land is being explored as part of the current ArtHouse exhibition at Creswick’s RACV Goldfields.<\/p>\n
Hanging Earth, Grounded Stars by the Paradoxa Collective – Penelope Aitken, Anna Farago, and Susan Wirth – features works including hanging crafted Creswick clay beads which comment on Dja Dja Wurrung beliefs of an upside-down Country, and dung beetle design cushions.<\/p>\n
Encouraging visitors to care for, connect to, and renew the land with little kind acts is what the showcase is all about, according to RACV head of visual arts Mardi Nowak.<\/p>\n
“This is an exhibition that we’re really excited to share and it’s great that it utilises the natural materials surrounding RACV Goldfields, helping visitors explore the connection between people and places,” Ms Nowak said.<\/p>\n
Hanging Earth, Grounded Stars runs until Sunday 8 December, also highlighting solo works by Aitken, Farago, and Wirth in the venue’s corridor gallery.<\/p>\n
ArtHouse launched at RACV’s Goldfields Resort in 2022 to showcase the work of local artists, and is open to the public, guests of the accommodation venue, and RACV members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
