THE final performance of this year’s Piano for Pleasure concert series will be held at Christ the King Anglican Cathedral Synod Hall this Sunday.<\/p>\n
cert will begin at 2pm and pianists Hannah Cao, Emily Tao, Limor Chen, Shayla Tang, and Jayden Chen will perform.<\/p>\n
The children are students of Bronislaw Sozanski who learn performance and stagecraft as part of their studies.<\/p>\n
“Young performers get lots of opportunities to develop their skills because we can put on a concert with our students in a public venue easily in Ballarat,” said Sozanski.<\/p>\n
“It’s not so easy to do in the big cities because you’ve got to hire a major hall.”<\/p>\n
Piano for Pleasure concerts have been taking place in Ballarat for 24 years with music styles ranging from Baroque to contemporary music.<\/p>\n
For the first time the concert will include piano and violin duo Hannah and Emily and Sozanski said it is great to see students playing together.<\/p>\n
“They’ve done some work together at Ballarat Grammar and they are going to play a couple of pieces together,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I really like when students play together in ensembles without adults\u2026 so that’s a bit of a bonus to what we’ve had before.”<\/p>\n
Afternoon tea will follow the concert, and donations are requested which support the Cathedral music.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
