Exhibitor and SHAC member Neale Thompson said SHAC’ N Not Stirred is giving attendees a unique artisanal experience.<\/p>\n
“It adds another element to both our work as a group of artists and a business like Kilderkin,” he said.<\/p>\n
“It’s putting forward that whole experience of having something to eat and drink in artisan-produced products so it aligns well with what we’re doing because we’re artists producing individual works.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The show will be launching on Friday, November 29 at 6pm with local artist Rosalind Lawson presenting as special guest.<\/p>\n Showcasing solely 2D works, mediums in the collection range from photography, weaved works, watercolour, acrylic, and botanic prints.<\/p>\n The show is SHAC’s first at Kilderkin, and marks a deliberate trend for the group in exhibiting further abroad from their namesake suburb. “We feel by going outside Soldiers Hill and even Ballarat, it’s extending our reach further,” Thompson said.<\/p>\n “We’re looking beyond Ballarat at least once a year. Kilderkin is still local but we’re always looking for those venues to elevate our exposure.”<\/p>\n Throughout 2024, SHAC has exhibited at Art Space Ballarat, St Arnaud’s Raillery Hub Gallery, and the Willaura Modern as part of their SHAC on Track initiative.<\/p>\n SHAC’ N Not Stirred is on show until January 7.
