Main Road’s Bakery Hill shopping strip will be coming alive with music, street food vendors and children’s activities at its first block party.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow’s (Saturday, November 30) event celebrates the Art Gallery of Ballarat’s Medieval to Metal: the art and evolution of the guitar exhibition which is on until February.<\/p>\n

Guitar-themed children’s arts and crafts, face-painting, free yoga classes, vintage car displays, and roving performers will be on offer.<\/p>\n

There will be a range of local artists performing including Nasal Spray at 1.45pm, who take their inspiration from the 1960s.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Band member James Spray said he is looking forward to the community atmosphere.<\/p>\n

“We will be jumping up on the stage and on the street rocking out,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We are excited to see all the other bands and just seeing the excitement in the streets and people out there having fun.”<\/p>\n

Cr Samantha McIntosh said there were a range of creative businesses along Main Road, and she encouraged everyone to attend.<\/p>\n

Kank Wolverang Records will be opening its doors to visitors.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

“It’s an opportunity for the all the family to come along and enjoy the local produce; the local businesses will be oozing out onto the street and celebrating our Medieval to Metal event,” she said.<\/p>\n

“I think there’s many people that will love to come and discover, and as you wander around Main Road there is spectacular foodie places, there is some really nice vintage clothing stores and of course the wonderful record shop.”<\/p>\n
