CHILD and family support organisation Cafs has been named beneficiary of Central Highlands Water’s bottle fundraiser for the next two years.<\/p>\n
As part of the partnership, CHW will donate money raised through the sale of their reusable water bottles to Cafs’ Thread Together clothing hub program.<\/p>\n
“We’re excited to partner with CHW through the water bottle program,” said Cafs CEO Wendy Sturgess.<\/p>\n
“Minimising waste and encouraging the community to purchase a reusable water bottle strongly aligns with the program’s aim.<\/p>\n
“Through Thread Together, we redistribute excess clothing stock through our purpose-designed clothing hubs.<\/p>\n
“Without the program, many of these items would end up in landfill.”<\/p>\n
Thread Together supports people in need by supplying them with new clothing, shoes and accessories.<\/p>\n
“Our water bottle partnership highlights CHW’s commitment to fostering sustainable living, thriving communities and a healthy environment, with 100 per cent of the money raised through the sale of reusable water bottles going to this valuable program,” said CHW managing director Jeff Haydon.<\/p>\n
“CHW’s water bottle program aims to minimise single-use water bottle purchases and<\/p>\n
encourages the community to make tap water their drink of choice.<\/p>\n
“We look forward to supporting Cafs to grow the Thread Together program, which is driving social and environmental change.”<\/p>\n
Ballarat Begonia Festival over the March Labour Day long weekend is usually the biggest water bottle sales period, but the bottles can be purchased at CHW and Cafs offices for $10 at any time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
