I use clean lines, bold compositions, and a harmonious balance of earthy tones and bright colours to portray the beauty and fragility of native species.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This approach helps me create striking pieces that encourage curiosity and reflection.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/01\/241017StephCartledge_45515.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"904\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Work in progress: Conservation Status is expected to open in April. Photos: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cartledge&#8217;s goal is to engage the community in an urgent dialogue around wildlife conservation and protecting biodiversity locally.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To further support this cause, I&#8217;ll be donating 10 per cent of exhibition profits to Zoos Victoria&#8217;s Fighting Extinction program,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I hope audiences will be drawn to the unique combination of subject matter and artistic style.
