VISTORS to Sovereign Hill this summer will be able to cool off with a program of school holiday activities.<\/p>\n
Running until January 27, there will be cooling water misters, free icy poles for children aged under 16, live entertainment in the Victoria Theatre and underground mine tours.<\/p>\n
“Summer brings a special energy to Sovereign Hill, as families and travellers explore our museum, and take in the sights and experiences,” Sovereign Hill Museums Association chief executive officer Sara Quon.<\/p>\n
“When the weather warms up, we have options to keep cool and comfortable at Sovereign Hill.<\/p>\n
“From cool, shady spots to refreshments, we’ve crafted experiences to ensure our visitors can unwind and create lasting memories this summer.”<\/p>\n
Visitors can also head to the new accessible gold panning area which recently earned the organisation recognition with an excellence in accessible tourism award at the 2024 Victorian Tourism Industry Council Awards.<\/p>\n
The AURA Light and Sound Spectacular will also be on as well as workshops at the Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades.<\/p>\n
