GUARD Luke Rosendale has re-signed with the Ballarat Miners men’s squad for this year’s NBL1 South season, while Ally Knights will join the women’s squad.<\/p>\n

This will be Rosendale’s second season with the Miners, and he is coming off a season as a development player with the South East Melbourne Phoenix under Miners’ head coach and Phoenix assistant coach Luke Brennan.<\/p>\n

In the 2024 season, Rosendale averaged 13.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 40.9 per cent.<\/p>\n

He was also named as a finalist for the NBL1 South defensive player of the year award.<\/p>\n

“I’m super excited to be back at the Miners in 2025,” Rosendale said.<\/p>\n

“I felt that I had unfinished business after last season and I’m looking forward to starting the process to build towards another finals appearance with this group.”<\/p>\n

Recruit Ally Knights was recently part of the Bellarine Storm\u2019s debut championship women season.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Knights is a 170-centimetre guard from Geelong who was recently part of the Bellarine Storm’s debut championship women’s season.<\/p>\n

She began her collegiate journey at North Florida during the 2021\u20132022 season, where she played in 29 games, and set a UNF record with 20 assists in a single game on 13 November 2021 against Trinity Baptist.<\/p>\n

Knights then transferred to Hofstra University.<\/p>\n

“I am super excited to be playing with Ballarat this season,” she said.<\/p>\n

“After speaking with Kennedy [Kereama, coach], it felt like the right fit for me as a player and a person.<\/p>\n

“I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to come to the Miners.<\/p>\n

“Looking forward to helping the team achieve some great things this season and being part of an awesome program.”<\/p>\n
