EUROPEAN forward Julia Gladkova has signed with the Ballarat Miners for this year’s Mitsubishi NBL1 South season.<\/p>\n
Gladkova, who is 182 centimetres tall, most recently played for Rojas in Mexico.<\/p>\n
In the 2020 to 2021 season, Gladkova played for Lobas in Mexico and averaged 12.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.<\/p>\n
The following year she joined Halcones in the Mexican LNBPF and maintained those statistics.<\/p>\n
Gladkova said she is enthusiastic about joining the Miners.<\/p>\n
“I’m so excited to become part of the Ballarat Miners team, family and community,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I appreciate the opportunity that Kennedy has given me and will always do my best for the team and our fans.”<\/p>\n
Head coach Kennedy Kereama said Gladkova will bring experience to the team.<\/p>\n
“Her extensive international experience and championship-winning background at multiple levels ranging from youth EuroBasket tournaments to the World University Games make her a tremendous asset to our program,” he said.<\/p>\n
