NINA Fitzsimons’ newest exhibition, Printed Possibilities, is showing at Ross Creek Gallery until this Sunday 10 August.<\/p>\n
As the name suggests, its focus is Fitzsimons’ forte, printed works.<\/p>\n
“In Printed Possibilities, I explore the versatility of reduction linoprint as a medium, embracing both its precision and its unpredictability,” the Ballarat printmaker said.<\/p>\n
“This exhibition marks a continuation of my journey as a printmaker, expanding on the experimentation that began with my first solo show in 2024.<\/p>\n
“Here, I lean further into the diversity of linoprint, trying new styles and exploring an array of subjects.”<\/p>\n
The exhibition features a wide range of different subject matter, traversing historic Ballarat buildings, expressive landscapes, critters and still-life compositions.<\/p>\n
“Though varied, these works are connected by my love of colour, textiles, and the joy of discovering as a new artist what is possible through print,” Fitzsimons said.<\/p>\n
“At its core, Printed Possibilities is about openness, the willingness to experiment, to make mistakes, to celebrate imperfections, and to find meaning in the process.<\/p>\n
“It is an invitation to explore the beauty of linoprint, not as a rigid technique, but as an evolving dialogue between artist, material, and the composition.”<\/p>\n
