“This production has been incredibly fun to rehearse and prepare,” the production’s director Paula Heenan said.<\/p>\n
“Legally Blonde is a challenging show that demands a lot from its performers, from mastering intricate harmonies to executing high-impact choreography.<\/p>\n
“Our cast have balanced this with full-time schooling, jobs, family responsibilities, and, in many cases, rehearsals for multiple shows. Their commitment is nothing short of extraordinary.”<\/p>\n
Among the cast members, Emily Gibson plays Elle, George Rogers plays Emmett, Elijah van Raaphorst plays Warner, Jenna Macleod plays Paulette and Anna Reynolds plays Margot.<\/p>\n
For many senior students, being part of the production will be particularly special as it marks their final musical before finishing school.<\/p>\n
“These experiences, on stage, backstage, in the studio, leave a lasting impression,” Heenan said.<\/p>\n
“Whether they continue in the performing arts or not, the skills and friendships they’ve built will stay with them for life.”<\/p>\n
Choreographer Jinah Waters likewise has plenty of praise for the cast’s dedication.<\/p>\n
“This show has everything\u2013 cheerleading, high-energy dance, and moments that require real control and precision,” she said.<\/p>\n
“The cast has risen to the challenge with enthusiasm and professionalism.”<\/p>\n
Drama coach Rachael Shelton said the cast has “a unique magic and they absolutely shine on stage.”<\/p>\n
The show takes place at Mount Clear College’s Gay Gough Theatre at 6pm on Saturday 23 August and 2.30pm on Sunday 24 August with tickets through Humanitix.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
