{"id":115545,"date":"2025-09-05T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=115545"},"modified":"2025-09-03T17:17:20","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T07:17:20","slug":"adf-pop-up-career-centre-opens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/news\/adf-pop-up-career-centre-opens\/","title":{"rendered":"ADF pop-up career centre opens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Australian Defence Force is in town to talk careers and recruitment options following the opening of its visiting Pop-Up ADF Career Centre in Ballarat last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Located at the intersection of Grant Street and Training Lane in the Federation TAFE SMB campus precinct, the PACC is a compact and portable careers centre that makes it easy for regional candidates to connect directly with ADF recruiters.<\/p>\n<p>Onsite with the PACC, ADF Careers specialists Corporal Boe Cameron and Sergeant Bradley Asher were happy to chat to interested locals and to help usher them through the PACC during last Thursday&#8217;s opening event attended by local dignitaries.<\/p>\n<p>Sergent Asher and Corporal Cameron said there are a wide range of career options available with the ADF for people ranging in age from 16 through to those aged in their mid-50s, including new school leavers right through to people considering a mid-career change.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/09\/ADFPopUPB_35482.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"905\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Career possibilities: Eddington&#8217;s Ethan Morrison with Sergeant Bradley Asher and Corporal Boe Cameron at the Pop-Up ADF Career Centre (PACC) which has now opened in Ballarat. Photo: EVIE LAMB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Attendee Ethan Morrison was keen to learn more about the multiple different career opportunities and options that the ADF has to offer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m leaning to wanting to become a medic,&#8221; said Mr Morrison who is currently completing studies with Federation University.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My three preferences are being in the army, navy or airforce. It&#8217;s something that I really want to do.
