BRAZEN Brownies has won gold at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show for its walnut brownie, backing up its previous wins with a new standout flavour.<\/p>\n

The award comes after the business’s salted caramel peanut brownie earned back-to-back gold medals at the same event.<\/p>\n

Judging is based on texture, flavour, bake quality, technical skill and visual appeal.<\/p>\n

Brazen Brownies was founded by George Kalpakis and Caroline Kropack, who built the business from the ground up after careers in the corporate world.<\/p>\n

“Winning gold twice was proof that we are onto a winning formula in terms of delivering the ultimate brownie experience,” Mr Kalpakis said.<\/p>\n

Ms Kropack has spent years developing and mastering her recipes.<\/p>\n

She believes the secret to a perfect brownie is achieving a balance between fudgy in the middle and flaky on top.<\/p>\n

“We find that there’s a real craving for treats that feel both nostalgic and indulgent,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Brownies tick all those boxes because they’re rich and comforting and create a genuine hug-in-a-bite feeling.<\/p>\n

“We love that we can bring people together through our brownies, and above all create memorable moments worth savouring.”<\/p>\n

The business has also won medals at the Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards.<\/p>\n

It now produces what it says is the largest selection of brownies in Australia, including a range of gluten-free varieties.<\/p>\n

Its brownies feature handmade inclusions such as peanut butter and hazelnut chocolate ganache, instead of manufactured nut butters and pastes.<\/p>\n

Ingredients are sourced from across the country, including nuts from a Sunshine Coast farm where the idea for the business was first born a decade ago.<\/p>\n
