A NEW celebration of Victorian food, culture and community will settle the score on the state’s best pie, b\u00e1nh m\u00ec and potato cake.<\/p>\n

The Vic’s Picks initiative, launched by the State Government, provides Victorians with a chance to vote for their favourite from each category, and the winner will be named Victoria’s pick.<\/p>\n

The awards aim to highlight small businesses including country bakeries, suburban fish and chip shops and family-run Vietnamese bakeries.<\/p>\n

“Vic’s Picks is about celebrating the people, businesses and traditions that make our state proud \u2013 and giving every Victorian the chance to have their say,” Premier Jacinta Allan said.<\/p>\n

“Whether it’s your local bakery, a family-run b\u00e1nh m\u00ec store or the neighbourhood fish and chip shop \u2013 this is about backing the small businesses that make our communities stronger.”<\/p>\n
