It&#8217;s a chance to take a look inside a modern, purpose-built home designed for people with disability, and to discover how SDA can transform lives.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/11\/KentStkitchen_photo2_59597.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The event is free, fully accessible and open to anyone who wants to understand more about how SDA can support a better quality of life.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the day, four interactive information sessions will unpack everything families, carers, support coordinators and participants need to know about SDA, from the basics of eligibility and design, to what real independence looks like in practice. Each session focuses on a different stage of the SDA journey, giving attendees the chance to learn, ask questions and hear stories from people who&#8217;ve already made the move.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This event is about more than bricks and mortar,&#8221; says Stephen Vick, CEO at Guardian Living.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s about giving people the tools, confidence and understanding to make informed decisions about where and how they live, and ensuring those decisions support independence, dignity and community connection.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The sessions include Understanding SDA \u2013 What It Is and How It Works; Making the Move \u2013 Preparing for Independence and Peace of Mind; Living Your Best Life with Quality Support; and A New Way to Live \u2013 From Legacy Housing to Modern SDA.
