{"id":118853,"date":"2026-01-28T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=118853"},"modified":"2026-01-21T21:46:51","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T10:46:51","slug":"tennis-centre-powers-ahead-as-growing-community-asset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/sport\/tennis-centre-powers-ahead-as-growing-community-asset\/","title":{"rendered":"Tennis centre powers ahead as growing community asset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre (BRTC) is buzzing like never before, with more children learning, more families staying and a clubhouse that&#8217;s become a real community asset.<\/p>\n<p>Following the launch of the new Hotshot Musketeer Program, junior players aged three to 18 now have a fun and fully equipped pathway into the sport.<\/p>\n<p>From junior-sized racquets to Hotshot balls, coaching gear, targets and nets, every detail has been designed to help young players grow in a safe, structured environment, thanks to the support of the Community Bank Buninyong.<\/p>\n<p>New tennis and pickleball nets have lifted the playing experience for everyone, improving safety, expanding access and allowing the centre to host bigger community sessions and competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the clubhouse, the upgrades include a new children&#8217;s play zone, table tennis and soccer tables, while updated blinds have turned the space into a welcoming spot for families.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/01\/PB2_35469.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"491\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Changes: Pickleball is an integral part of the scene at the Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre.
