ROSS Creek Gallery is accepting entries in this year’s collaborative Infuse Art Prize that culminates in an exhibition in August.<\/p>\n
The annual award offers a $3000 prize as well as the $1000 Peter Pilven Collaborative Ceramic Award.<\/p>\n
The gallery’s Ruby Pilven said works in all mediums are being accepted including ceramics, glass, painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, woodwork, textiles and mixed media.<\/p>\n
“The artwork entered must be collaborative, as in made by two or more artists, and it also must be for sale,” Pilven said.<\/p>\n
The Infuse Art Prize has been running for two years with the first held in December 2024.<\/p>\n
“The purpose of the Infuse Art Prize is to foster collaboration among artists, facilitating the exchange of skills and knowledge. Artworks will be selected by a team of artists and curators involved in the prize and unfortunately, not all artworks entered will be accepted into the prize,” Pilven said.<\/p>\n
“There will be a $3000 cash prize plus vouchers to local Ballarat businesses for the winning collaborative artwork, judged by proud Wadawurrung woman, multidisciplinary visual artist and Blak designer, Dr Deanne Gilson. There will also be a smaller award named in my late father’s honour, The Peter Pilven Collaborative Ceramic Award. This will be a $1000 cash prize plus a voucher to Northcote Pottery Supplies…”<\/p>\n
A panel of selectors including artist and gallerist John Ferguson, creative sector specialist Tara Poole and artist and teacher Sue Sedgwick will determine who gets in with all entrants notified of the success of their entry in July.
