“Ben was awarded the Chisholm Street Prize at last year’s South Street competition, which is a paid performance opportunity.<\/p>\n
“Shayla Tang, who is preparing for Grade 6 Piano, is looking forward to the South Street competition, hoping to repeat her recent successes at the Bendigo Eisteddfod.<\/p>\n
“She competed in four sections and was awarded two First, one Second and one Third place.”<\/p>\n
Following the one-hour concert, students will meet the audience over afternoon tea.<\/p>\n
“We invite the public to attend this concert to support Ballarat’s young pianists,” said Sozanski.<\/p>\n
“Support for the Anglican Cathedral will be very much appreciated.<\/p>\n
“A $20 donation is requested which will contribute to the Cathedral’s outstanding music program.”<\/p>\n
The concert will begin at 2pm at the Anglican Cathedral Synod Hall, Lydiard Street South.<\/p>\n
