AFTER the latest graduate outcomes survey, Federation University is now ranked number one in Victoria for undergraduate median salary and overall undergraduate employment rates.<\/p>\n
The Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching 2025 Graduate Outcomes Survey also showed the university has retained number one placing in Victoria for post-graduate full-time employment.<\/p>\n
In the latest results, FedUni is ranked number one in Victoria and number 11 in Australia for undergraduate median salary, number one in Victoria and number 14 in Australia for overall undergraduate employment rates, and number one in Victoria and number three in regional Australia for postgraduate full-time employment rates.<\/p>\n
The median annual salary of their undergraduates rose from $75,700 in 2024 to $79,300 in 2025.<\/p>\n
Vice-Chancellor and president Professor Duncan Bentley said the uni was focussed on creating a pipeline of skilled graduates stepping into jobs where they are needed most.<\/p>\n
“Every day, people across our community benefit from the work of Federation graduates,” he said.<\/p>\n
“They’re the nurses caring for patients, the teachers inspiring the next generation and the leaders helping local industries thrive.<\/p>\n
“These results reflect the quality of our graduates and the meaningful contribution they’re making to our communities.”<\/p>\n
Bentley said the strong employment outcomes were underpinned by the Co-operative Education Model, connecting industry and education through co-design, co-delivery and paid placements.<\/p>\n
“We’re designing programs in direct response to industry demand…ensuring students are building the skills and experience employers are actively looking for,” he said.<\/p>\n
“These results demonstrate that approach is delivering real outcomes.<\/p>\n
“It’s leading to stronger job outcomes and higher salaries for graduates as they bring their newly acquired knowledge and skills to the communities of regional Victoria and Melbourne’s south-east.”<\/p>\n
FedUni graduate and Ernst and Young consultant Lucy McKeegan said the uni prepared her for more than the workplace.<\/p>\n
“It gave me the opportunity to get a great education while staying connected to my community,” she said.<\/p>\n
